Washing Your Shirt:

We recommend that you wash your shirt at 30 degrees Celsius (84F) to save energy. 40 degrees Celsius (104F) is the maximum temperature required.

Before you wash your shirt make sure all buttons are undone and the collar stays removed (if you chose “removable” stays). If the inside of the collar is very dirty then a little stain remover will help to more effectively wash it.

Once washed you should hang your shirt out to dry. Hang from the bottom of the side seams so the collar and sleeves hang down closest to the ground. Do not tumble dry your shirts.

You may also choose to have your Nialma shirts professionally dry cleaned.

Ironing Your Shirt:

If possible it is best to iron your shirt when it is still slightly damp, this will ensure maximum effectiveness and makes the job a lot easier than ironing dry cotton.

Set the iron to the correct steam level for cotton (high).

If the shirt is completely dry then spray the shirt with a light starch spray (optional). We like to mix starch spray and water together to dilute the intensity of the starch.

Once ironed, put the collar stays back in and you are ready to go.

Be sure to invest in some decent shirt hangers, as over time the thin metal ones will start to wear away at the cotton.
